YOU ENTER SLOWLY

It seems I haven't been here in a long time. University is keeping my schedule incredibly full, hence this neglection.

This drawing was done quite a while ago and is of Miss Mosh. It is on A5, so I suppose it looks more detailed smaller.

I'll leave you with some Deftones, who I recently saw at Manchester Apollo- and were amazing.

Friday, 12 March 2010

So I was in town the other day and was thinking about what might be an exciting thing to do... So:

I went and got a nape piercing. I have wanted one for years (ever since I realised you could get it done) and then I found Asia Argento has hers done too. So yes, it was very fun.

Anyway, I best go and get ready now because I'm going to the Roadhouse tonight, going to see a band which I don't know the name of, but hopefully they'll be good.

Now for Spinnerette, as who doesn't love a bit of Brody Dalle?

THEY'RE WEARING PLASTIC, NOT REAL LEATHER, BOOTS THAT GO WAY UP TO THERE...

Due to seeing much fur, all over the AW2010/2011 runway, I got rather jealous and this led me to one of my favourite places, eBay! So I bought myself a fox fur collar:

It's so dreamy and soft!

I wore this for my uni interview, minus the boots and plus my Kurt Geiger sneakers and a little black children's school blazer, which I had sewn gold crown buttons on to. I'm not sure how the interview went- hopefully not too badly though.

Eeh nearly my birthday! Very excited! I shall be journeying up to London with the father for a shopping trip :) eheh exciting!

Wednesday, 10 February 2010

I've always been this paranoid- but I'm still breathing...

So it looks like I shall be very busy these next few weeks. I have so much textiles work and deadlines seem to be sneaking up on me, again. Also, many people seem to be having birthdays around February/March, serving as a further distraction from getting my college work done. It will be finished in time though; maybe I should stop being so optimistic.

Only 40 days 'til my birthday though! I am very excited- I will legally be able to drink, vote and all kinds of other stuff (can't think of much else at the moment- but I'm sure there are many). Ooh, and I shall be getting a tattoo; Placebo lyrics of course!

Things I find beautiful:

American Apparel: Micro-mesh shirt, Balenciaga: Part Time, Rodarte for Target: Slip dress, Burberry: Knotted trench

The Burberry trench will be available in children's sizes 8-12. I'm hoping a 10 or 12 will fit. It is already available in adult sizes- but they're too big, and I assume the children's will be cheaper.

I'll leave you with a painting I did the other day (on A5)- keep in mind I haven't painted in a couple of years. Let me know what you think :)

You look one hundred percent better when I can't see you...

I've just been reading this post on Style.com. I love the Lolita look. After I saw both of the Lolita films I covet the 'nymphet' look. Yes, it may be slightly wrong, but people tell me I only look about 12 anyway (even wronger, but nevermind). After watching the 1997 version I attempted to imitate the red lipstick and pigtails look, but failed.

I think I might go out and buy some red heart shaped glasses now...

On this winter's day...

8 sleeps 'til Christmas- oh my! Sad thing is, I haven't even opened my advent calendar yet. Actually, that's pretty good. Now I can put them all in my cereal and have a super chocolatey surprise left when I get to the bottom! I'm excited already.

I have just realised that in less than 8 sleeps I shall be waking up to such lovelies as these:

BlackMilk Front Slicks

and after having adored them, from a far, for many months:

Pleaser Delight 1036

Both of which will make Helen a very happy bunny indeed.

Oh, and if you're looking for a lovely film to go and see at the moment, I highly recommend Where The Wild Things Are. I heart Bob & Terry.
